Lit Drummer Allen Shellenberger Dead At 39
California rocker had a lengthy battle with brain cancer.
Allen Shellenberger, drummer of rock band Lit, died Thursday after a lengthy battle with brain cancer. He was 39 years old.
Shellenberger founded Lit in Fullerton, California, during the early 1990s (first as a glam-rock outfit called Razzle) alongside brothers A. Jay and Jeremy Popoff and bassist Kevin Baldes. The quartet released a handful of albums before breaking through in 1999 with the modern-rock hit "My Own Worst Enemy," from their A Place in the Sun album.

"The High End of LOW" - MAY 26th!!!!
The man born Brian Warner's follow-up to 2007's Eat Me, Drink Me will be titled The High End Of Low when it hits stores later this year through Interscope Records. It was produced by Manson and Sean Beavan (Nine Inch Nails, Slayer) in the Hollywood Hills last year.
"It's a self-described state of being that I'm in," Manson told RollingStone.com's Smoking Section blog about the album title. "You're going to be fucking freaked. It's the shit."
The High End Of Low will be Manson's first album with bassist Twiggy Ramirez since 2000's Holy Wood (In The Shadow Of The Valley Of Death). Keyboardist Chris Vrenna and drummer Ginger Fish also appear on the album.
The disc doesn't yet have a definite release date or track list, but its first single will be the oh-so-decently titled, nine-minute "I Wanna Kill You Like They Do In The Movies." Manson will shoot a video for the track later this month. Manson described the song to Rolling Stone as "severely sadist" and about "murder, sex, death, the end."
We hope it doesn't have anything to do with Evan Rachel Wood. But maybe it's about Sarah Palin.

Marilyn Manson's anticipated reunion with longtime friend and foil Twiggy Ramirez inches closer with the release of "We're From America", the first listen from "The High End Of Low". Available as a digital single, it previews Manson's forthcoming seventh studio album landing May 26.

The FA$T LIFE - MAY 12th!
Paul Wall has always been a man of the people. His first major label album, 2003’s, The People’s Champ debuted at number one on Billboard’s Top 200 thanks to Paul’s unique blend of Southern charm, supreme relatability and quick wit. His follow-up album two years later, Get Money, Stay True, solidified Paul’s brand of trunk-rattling Houston hip-hop with rap fans around the world. Now, Paul Wall is speeding alongside rap’s elite with the release of his brand new album The Fast Life on Swisha House/Asylum Records.
Although he’s on top of the game now, Paul Wall’s rise to super-stardom was anything but sudden. The H-Town MC’s hip-hop story began nearly fifteen years when 14 year-old Paul Stayton started working street-side promotions for Def Jam, Cash Money and No Limit. Over the next 11 years, Paul gained local fame as a DJ turned underground MC signed to the famed Houston labels Paid In Full and Swisha House. While word of his lyrical prowess started to spread via his now-classic indie albums, back home Paul was well on his way to becoming the most recognizable custom jewelry designer in the Southern United States.
When The People’s Champ was certified platinum in 2003, Paul became one of rap music’s most revered hustlers. After popularizing and creating grills for hip-hop heavyweights like T.I., Lil Jon and Fat Joe, Paul became a cultural icon.
His latest LP, The Fast Life, is not only a celebration of his many successes, but a moving testament of the endless hours he dedicated to becoming the chart-topping MC he is today. “Most of the time it’s all about ripping and running and hustling and grinding and getting it on,” says Paul of his life nowadays. “But I’m just really trying to have fun and that’s what we did with this album.”
Featuring guests like Akon, Webbie, Young Joc, and Tech 9, The Fast Life is further proof that hard work pays off. On the Beanz & Kornbread produced track “Look At Me Now,” Paul delves deep into his rocky rise to the top. “That song is talking about my journey coming up and starting at the bottom of the barrel,” he says. “It’s all about having a lot of people turn on you and hate on you and but still striving to succeed in life.” Sticking to matters close to his heart, Paul Wall’s troubled childhood is an open book on “Momma Raised Me” where he details his absentee father’s drug addiction and his family’s hardships.
“Fly,” featuring Young Joc and Guerilla Zoe, finds Paul back in good spirits and announcing, “I’m higher than the price of gas” over producer Amadeus slick synth-based beat. The party continues on “Girl Is On Fire” where Akon shows up to celebrate the many marvelous wonders of the female species. Former Blink 182 drummer Travis Barker offers up two productions on The Fast Life including the drug-induced “Pop One of These” featuring Too $hort, Skinhead Rob and The Federation. “A lot of people know Travis from his rock ‘n roll remixes,” says Paul. “But he’s a hell of a producer by himself so I think people are really going to love his production on this album.”
Paul journeys down the Shreveport, Louisiana for the LP’s lead single “Bizzy Body” which is produced by Mouse and features fellow Asylum artist, Webbie. “I’ve been wanting to do a song with Mouse and Webbie for a long time, we just never had a chance to do it,” says Paul. “It was fun going out there. Webbie hoped out the car with three bottles of champagne and we just went in the studio and came up with something.”
By covering both the highs and lows that inevitably come along with life in the fast lane, Paul Wall’s latest album is a hearty dose of life as only he knows it. “My wordplay and delivery has definitely improved a whole lot on The Fast Life,” he says. “I’ve always been a really witty, clever rapper with a lot of metaphors and saying words that people wouldn’t expect to hear in a song. I’ve always been a real fly guy so it comes through in the music too.”http:

HEAD in Tomball?!??!
Im THERE...
Having been a die-hard KoRn fan since like '93 I was already excited...
Having read his book, "Save Me From Myself" 3 Times...MORE Excited
ALSO having listened to his DEBUT SOLO Album,
"Save Me From Myself"
MORE EXCITED...
I Planned to TOTALLY take more pics while there but OFCOURSE with my luck, my phone's battery went on DRAIN-MODE...weird...
Anyway, he came out and totally told the story from his book! He was an amazingly real guy!
Afterwards there was a Meet & Greet/Book Signing...
The church volunteers acted like they've never interacted with human beings before...quite hilarious! So making fun of them was FUN!
At one point some girl got so stressed out and almost had a panic attack because nobody was listening to her...she wasn't making ANY sense!!!! She finally just asked us not to cause "Havoc"...Seriously?!?!?
Anyway, I got to meet him and he is a really awesome guy! Bascially told him i loved his work and stuff and he was extremely appreciative! I think the coolest part of it all was when he told me he was just thankful he was able to survive it all and have a 2nd chance!
Alot of people take things for granted and don't get that 2nd chance...
HmmMmMmmm
ANYWAYS...overall it was an awesome night!
Will post more pics later!
Payce!

ARE WE READY?!?!?!
(New York, NY) February 12, 2009 – The original line-up of Fred Durst, Wes Borland, Sam Rivers, John Otto, and DJ Lethal are back from an eight year hiatus to bring their world back to ours. Fred Durst and Wes Borland said in a joint statement:
"We decided we were more disgusted and bored with the state of heavy popular music than we were with each other. Regardless of where our separate paths have taken us, we recognize there is a powerful and unique energy with this particular group of people we have not found anywhere else. This is why Limp Bizkit is back."
The guys will kick off a world tour in the Spring on the overseas festival circuit with headline shows sprinkled in throughout Eastern Europe and Europe, selected dates include, in late May, Russia, Ukraine, and the Baltic countries where Limp Bizkit has never played before despite huge demand, along with major festivals like Rock Am Ring and Rock Im Park in Germany, more dates to be announced shortly. A new album, which would be the original group’s first full-length effort since 2000, is also planned. Limp Bizkit’s first three albums have sold over 20 million copies in the U.S. alone, and another 13 million in the rest of the world.
