TRV$/DJAM - UPDATE...
"[Travis and Adam] told me that they slid down the wing on the right side of the plane," Lieut. Josh Shumpert of the South Congaree Police Department tells PEOPLE. Shumpert was one of the second responders at the scene – Congaree is the town outside of Columbia, S.C. – after the airport police arrived.
"They said they were on fire," adds Shumpert, whose patrol car's dashboard camera caught video of the fiery aftermath, "and that they tackled each other and put each other out."
"When I got there they were on the side of the road," says Shumpert. "They were pacing and in shock."
"Travis was very shaken up," he says, noting that Barker was given Gatorade after he asked for some water.
According to the lieutenant, the pair weren't naked, contrary to eyewitness statements.
"Travis was wearing some kind of shorts and no shirt," says Shumpert, adding that Goldstein was wearing shorts or boxers as well. "Travis had one sock on. And a black hat on his head."
The fast reactions of the former Blink 182 drummer Barker, 32, and Goldstein, 35, gave them a good chance of a Fully Recovery.
"Since both Barker and Goldstein are in overall good health and didn't suffer from any other crash-related complications, a full recovery is expected," said Dr. Fred Mullins of the Joseph M. Still Burn Center at Doctors' Hospital in Augusta at a Sunday morning press conference.
Mullins added that recovery from such burns can take as long as a year.
I KNEW IT!!!
The 29-year-old former "American Idol" runner-up, multiplatinum recording artist and Broadway star credits his son, conceived by in-vitro fertilization with friend and producer Jaymes Foster, with making him realize that he could no longer hide his homosexuality from the world.
"It was the first decision I made as a father," Aiken told the magazine, which arrives on newsstands Friday. "I cannot raise a child to lie or to hide things. I wasn't raised that way, and I'm not going to raise a child to do that."
Aiken, who rose to fame on "Idol" in 2003, has long been subject of rumors and tabloid fodder that he was gay, but usually refused to acknowledge them. In an interview with The Associated Press two years ago, he said of the talk: "I don't really feel like I have anybody to answer to but myself and God and the people I love."
Aiken said he only told his family that he was gay four years ago. He recalled a tearful discussion with his mother in a car after dropping off his brother, who was being sent to Iraq, at a military base.
"It was dark. I was sitting there, thinking to myself. I don't know why I started thinking about it ... I just started bawling. She made me pull over the car and it just came out," he said. "She started crying. She was obviously somewhat stunned. But she was very supportive and very comforting."
Aiken said his mother "still struggles with things quite a bit, but she's come a long way."
The magazine cover features Aiken holding his son, born in August. Aiken, who considers himself a born-again Christian, said he knows he may turn off some fans — known as Claymates — with his admission and his decision to have a child outside traditional marriage.
"I've never intended to lie to anybody at all," he said. "But if they leave, I don't want them to leave hating me."
Gay groups applauded Aiken's public admission.
"We congratulate Clay for making this decision and for setting an example for others and his family," said Neil Giuliano, president of the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation. As we're seeing, more and more gay people, including celebrities, are living openly and honestly, and this has tremendous impact in terms of creating awareness, understanding and acceptance."

TX Dodged a Bullet...
At 10 p.m. Friday, the center of Category 2 Hurricane Ike was located at 28.4 north and 94.4 west, or about 55 miles southeast of Galveston. Its maximum sustained winds remained at 110 mph and Ike was moving northwest near 12 mph.
Ike's US DEATH Toll Hits 51
Even after it all...despite all of you STILL without a power almost a week later...I believe we dodged a bullet this time...

I'm really excited to see this GI-NORMOUS list of great songs! I think the GH Franchise has it this season! I don't think RockBand will come near it... I like that they're aren't just only doing studio versions...they're doing LIVE and UNPLUGGED versions now...which as we all know...the LIVE versions are almost always better...so I think the boys down in the Activision labz kept all of us music fans in mind this time for sure... I cant wait! Oh, Also I took it upon myself to BOLD the songs I can't wait for! FINALLY KoRn made it in the list! It's been a LONG time coming but they made it! HELL YEA!
Oh yea...and check out the new addition to the set! Gonna blow ROCKBAND2 out the water...

...WOW...
It was a purely stand-up fight, neither man attempting to take down the other. And it was Evans knocking out the knockout artist (14 of Liddell’s 21 victories were by knockout). Evans remains unbeaten (17-0-1) while Liddell now has lost three of his last four fights.
